2012Launch Dates Set None Other launches slated for 2012 without firm dates: May 7: SpaceX will launch its Falcon 9 rocket and second Dragon spacecraft on a cargo demonstration flight to rendezvous and dock with the International Space Station. The mission is part of NASA's Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) program. Two small communications satellites will also be onboard. The launch, from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, is slated at 8:28 p.m. EST (0128 GMT Jan. 8th). TBD: The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the fourth Dragon spacecraft, called Dragon C3. The mission will be the first operational cargo delivery mission to the International Space Station under the Commercial Resupply Services contract. The launch will take place at Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. TBD: Orbital Sciences Corporation's Antares rocket (formerly called the Taurus 2 rocket) will launch on a test flight, as part of NASA’s Commercial Orbital Transportation Services program. The launch date and time, from Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Va., is to be determined.
